Kurt Lonsway is an experienced international ESG professional and leader. He has 42 years of experience, extensively in Africa and the MENA region, in South and Central Asia, Eastern Europe, Russia, Latin America and the South Pacific. He is currently serving as Senior Advisor, ESG and Climate with Momentus where he leverages his deep knowledge and expertise to support our strategic work.
Kurt has held senior roles at a multilateral development bank, E&S consulting firms and other development-oriented entities. This includes a 13-year tenure at the African Development Bank (AfDB) as the Manager of Environment and Climate Change where he led and supervised the Bank’s E&S team and managed a portfolio of USD 1.5 billion of climate finance, energy and environment initiatives.
Kurt has a Master of Science in Agricultural and Irrigation Engineering from Utah State University in the United States.
He is fluent in English, French (advanced) and Kiswahili (Fair).
