Reports to: Director, Projects
Role Overview
The Senior Consultant plays a leading role in delivering client engagements, independently managing workstreams or a portfolio of smaller projects while acting as a trusted day-to-day client lead. This role combines strong delivery ownership with team leadership and meaningful contribution to business development.
The Senior Consultant works with limited supervision to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high professional standard—while overseeing quality of team outputs, coaching junior staff, and helping shape proposals and client opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Coordination
- Lead workstreams or a portfolio of smaller projects with limited supervision, acting as the day-to-day client lead
- Develop and manage project work plans, timelines, and resource coordination
- Organize and coordinate project teams, including onboarding and oversight of external consultants and subcontractors
- Contribute to contract scoping and negotiations with project leadership and internal support teams
- Draft and manage external consultant work orders and sub-contracts in coordination with Corporate and Finance teams
- Manage project budgets, monitor burn rate, and support timely invoicing and financial reporting
- Anticipate and mitigate project risks proactively, escalating where needed
- Plan and facilitate project meetings, logistics, documentation, and follow-ups
- Maintain structured project documentation and support project close-out and archiving
Project Delivery & Client Outputs
- Own delivery of workstreams and key outputs, ensuring quality control of inputs from internal and external contributors
- Conduct research, data analysis, and synthesis to support project outputs, where needed
- Draft and structure reports, presentations, and briefing materials to client-ready standards
- Review and refine team inputs, providing guidance to improve quality
- Lead stakeholder interviews, workshops, and engagements, where needed
- Coordinate and oversee tasks with interns, analysts, and consultants
- Act as quality gate for deliverables before escalation to EO/TL
Business Development Support
- Prepare technical content, methodologies, and inputs for proposals (EOIs, RFIs, RFPs)
- Support opportunity reviews and assessments to identify strong strategic and commercial fit
- Contribute to pitch decks, marketing materials, and conference-related content as needed
- Support thought leadership through articles, blogs, and other content that strengthens the firm’s profile
- Help shape proposal approaches and coordinate inputs for defined sections
Team Engagement & Corporate Contribution
- Actively participate in weekly project and team meetings
- Demonstrate and champion Momentus Global’s values in all work and interactions
- Support initiatives arising from corporate strategy development and implementation
- Ensure clear, consistent communication across internal teams, consultants, and clients
- Coach Consultants and Analysts on delivery, quality, and project management
Client Relationships
- Serve as day-to-day client contact for assigned workstreams or smaller projects
- Support project leadership in managing key client relationships
- Contribute to maintaining and developing client and partner relationships over time
- Identify follow-on opportunities and flag to project leadership

Experience and Qualifications
- 4 to 6 years experience in consulting, advisory, or project-based environments
- Demonstrated ability to independently lead workstreams or smaller projects
- Proven experience delivering high-quality reports and client-ready outputs
- Experience coordinating teams, including external consultants or partners
- Experience working with governments, MDBs, DFIs, donors, or international development organizations an asset
- Master’s degree in economics, public policy, finance, international development, business, or related field required
- Excellent English language skills; second language is an asset

Other Details:
- Work Hours: Full time.
- Office Arrangement: Fully remote with the ability to travel internationally for client projects if required.
