Inga Carey is a seasoned development finance professional with over 20 years of experience spanning international financial institutions, multilateral development banks, and nonprofit organizations. At Momentus Global, Inga serves as Manager, Projects, where she supports development organizations with sustainable finance strategies to catalyze private sector investment, particularly in emerging and frontier markets. Her work focuses on advancing inclusive finance, climate resilience, and gender-responsive private sector development.
Before joining Momentus Global, Inga worked at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), where she managed and supervised high-impact projects in the Caribbean. Her portfolio included the design and implementation of policy-based loans, credit guarantee programs, and technical assistance initiatives for MSME development, digital transformation, and climate-adaptive infrastructure. She was a key contributor to regional strategies addressing correspondent banking de-risking, blue economy policy reforms, and financial inclusion for women entrepreneurs. She has had a keen role in the economic advancement of women in the Caribbean having co-led the Mentorship Committee at Caribbean Women in Trade.
Earlier in her career, Inga served as a Vice President at J.P. Morgan Private Bank, managing a portfolio of high-net-worth clients across Latin America and Europe. Inga also worked with UN Women’s Private Sector and Economic Empowerment Unit, where she supported ESG assessments and strategies to expand economic opportunities for women through inclusive procurement and investment practices.
Inga holds a Master of Science in Applied Economics from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Spanish from Western University in Canada. She is certified in ESG and Impact Investing, a certified Project Risk Management Advisor, Scrum Master (Agile Project Management), and holds certifications in public procurement and financial inclusion policy. With advanced Spanish proficiency, Inga brings a multidisciplinary and global perspective to her work, grounded in strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and a deep commitment to inclusive and sustainable development.
